A misguided attempt to bring to life the unseen wife of Lieutenant Columbo from the overwhelmingly popular Columbo. Throughout its short life, the series changed names numerous times: Mrs. Columbo , Kate The Detective and finally, Kate Loves A Mystery. Kate Callahan Columbo is a wife and mother (later divorcee and single mother) who has a talent for solving crime. She later gets a job as a reporter for a small newspaper where her crime solving abilities are a plus.
